 l Blue against the evil eye

 

 

Legend suggests that the Eye with its blue color can be used to "neutralize" the evil eye which in Turkish is called "Nazar".

But precisely what is the evil eye? According to ancient beliefs, it is the negative influence of envy which manifests itself in overly insistent compliments.

Eye of Allah (Nazar Bonjuk in Turkish, or Evil Eye in English) but also Greek Eye is an amulet against the evil eye that protects the wearer.

Eyes never lie. The saying "The eyes are the mirror of the soul" alludes to the eye's ability to reveal feelings, emotions and sensations that pervade us and according to some cultures they are also the exit door for positive or negative thoughts. The meaning of the term evil eye is "eye that casts evil" or "to hurt with one's gaze". It is a very powerful negative force. It's about the malicious looks we receive from those around us. It derives from the belief in the existence of an evil power present in the gaze of some people pervaded by particular moods such as anger, envy and jealousy.
